A hospice in Abbey Wood is celebrating 21 years of caring for adults with life threatening illnesses.
Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice making its new building more accessible, adding a rehabilitation gym, a community hub and care coordination centre.
Fundraising ideas include hospice open days, a mini marathon for children and an open garden festival to raise much needed money for the hospice and its patients.
Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice supports more than 2,500 adults in the end of life stages of their illnesses and provides free specialist care.
The hospice is the only palliative care specialist in the two boroughs, covering an area of 40 square miles and a population of 500,000.
Chief Executive Kate Heaps said: "The community's continued support is as important now as ever as the need for care grows and the challenge of raising necessary funds for the hospice becomes even more difficult.
"There are so many ways that local people can help, from volunteering to organising a fundraising event."
