A 17-year-old boy from Bromley has appeared in court after a woman in her 60s died when she was hit by a car in Abbey Wood.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after allegedly hitting Brenda Croke, 64, with a black Range Rover while she was walking along the pavement in Finchale Road at around 11am on June 19.
Ms Croke, of North Stifford, Grays, Essex, suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene near the roundabout with Eynsham Drive.
The boy was arrested on June 24 and charged on Friday (January 9).
He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday for a preliminary hearing and has been remanded in custody to next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on January 23.
