The family of Pat Lamb from Greenhithe have confirmed that a body found in the River Medway yesterday (January 10) has been identified as the 28-year-old.

A body was found in the at Cuxton Marina at 3.31pm.

Kent Police were said to be keeping Mr Lamb's family and girlfriend, Tasha Morgan, 28, updated.

Late last night The Pat Lamb Search Team posted a message to Facebook Page 'Help Find Patrick Lamb' to confirm that the body had been identified.

It said: "It has now been confirmed that Patrick's body has been identified as the body found at Cuxton.

"As a team we are heartbroken and send our condolences to the family and Tasha.

"I would like to thanks every one of you for your time and commitment as a community and a nation. THANK YOU SO MUCH."

Hundreds of people have posted messages of condolence to the Facebook page which has amassed 49,269 'likes' since the hunt for Mr Lamb from London Road began almost a month ago.

Mr Lamb, aged 28, disappeared in the early hours of December 13 during a night out with friends in Maidstone.

Mr Lamb's family have said they will release a statement on Monday.
