THREE fire engines were called out to a blaze in the lounge area of a hostel.
The pumps, two from Erith and one from Bexleyheath fire stations, were called to the property in Hollywood Way, Slade Green at 8.45pm last night.
Smoke alarms were activated and the four people staying at the hostel had already evacuated the building by the time fire crews reached it.
The flames were under control within about 15 minutes and no injuries were reported.
The property suffered some smoke damage and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
