We were thrilled to receive a visit form Sparrow Schools based in Johannesburg SA.
Pearl Nkosi and Jackie Gallagher delivered an inspiring assembly to our key stage 3 students about life in post apartheid South Africa.
They showed how their schools are catering for students with Special Education Needs, with Pearl treating us to a rendition of the "Click Song" which had our students and staff enthralled.
Both Jackie and Pearl then spent the rest of the morning visiting classes, speaking to students and discussing Special Educational Needs provision with our SENCO.
Jackie and Pearl concluded their visit by having a cup of tea and discussing Sparrow Schools with the our head teacher, Mrs Roberts, who visited the schools last year.
