The £2billion Paramount Park scheme in Swanscombe will have more than 50 rides and attractions, it has been revealed.

They could draw on some of Paramount Studio’s most famous franchises, including Mission: Impossible, Star Trek, Titanic and The Godfather.

That’s according to London Resort Company Holdings, the company behind the project, which has unveiled more detailed plans for the park as part of a two-week series of consultation events across north Kent.

Water, family and thrill rides will make up the 12 major rides planned for the park, set to open in Easter 2020.

Vivid computer generated images of what the park could look inside have also been released.

Zones at the 45 hectare park will include an Adventure Isle, Starfleet Command, Land of Legends and Cartoon Circus.

The facility will boast Europe’s largest indoor water park, 11,000 restaurant covers, 15,000 sqm of retail space and a 20,000 sqm indoor event space.

The developers are planning to build a dedicated slip road coming off the A2 for park visitors, a new flyover exit route across the motorway to merge with the existing slip road and a new gyratory to replace the current double roundabout.

This is all to cope with what the company estimates will be a 12 per cent increase in the 148,000 vehicles currently using the A2 between the M25 and Ebbsfleet every day.

Ten thousand car parking spaces will be provided for visitors and 4,000 for staff.

London Resort Company Holdings also wants to increase the capacity of existing railway links from Ebbsfleet International and encourage up to five per cent of visitors to travel by ferry on the Thames.

The site will also be linked to the Thames Estuary cycle path and boast environmentally friendly features including a rainwater harvesting and recycling system to reduce flood risk and demand on local water resources.
