A string of events are being held across Lewisham and Greenwich to remember those who died in wartime.
On November 9 Reverend Heston Groenewald, the vicar from St John’s Church, will lead one service at the war memorial on Upper Brockley Road at 10.55am.
At the same time, a much larger service will take place at the war memorial on Lewisham High Street, including a marching band from the 1475 Squadron ATC.
On November 8 at 11am there will be a wreath-laying ceremony beginning at the memorial in Maze Hill and ending in Cemetery Lane, Charlton.
Over in Plumstead on the same time, ceremonies will start at Plumstead Cemetery and move on to Camdale Road.
On November 9, a morning Remembrance Day Parade and Service organised by the Royal British Legion, takes place from 10.45am at the Eltham High Street war memorial, followed by a service in St John's Church, Eltham Hill.
In Abbey Wood that day, there will be a service at St, Michaels and All Angels Church, Abbey Wood Road, at 10.30am.
