Bromley High Street is to be invaded by a family of giant yellow men.
Far from an alien attack, the seven foot brightly coloured statues are part of a campaign by the NHS.
To help ease pressure on A&E this winter, NHS Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is launching its 'Don't Go to A&E' campaign for the second year running.
The yellow men will be in the High Street on Monday November 3, depicting various ailments such as coughs, colds and runny noses, as a reminder only to go to A&E for emergencies.
Dr Andrew Parson, Chair of NHS Bromley CCG, said: "A&E won’t kiss it better because people suffering with these conditions often visit A&E when they don’t need to.
"People suffering from minor ailments like colds and coughs should treat themselves at home or visit their local pharmacy."
According to NHS figures, around 40% of people who attend A&E are discharged with no treatment, with more people descending on hospitals during the winter months.
The campaign launches on Saturday November 1.
