Friends and family of Stone mum-of-four, Donna Eastwood, who was found dead a week ago, gathered last night (October 24) to honour her memory.

Miss Eastwood, aged 26, of Almond Road, was found dead in a burnt-out car in Rowhill Road, Wilmington at 6.20am last Saturday (October 18).

Joshua Caird, aged 26, of Almond Road, has been charged with Miss Eastwood's murder and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on January 12.

Miss Eastwood's friends and family gathered at Stone Recreation Ground in London Road at 7pm to release lanterns, balloons and fireworks in memory of the young mum.

Some people posted pictures of the event and tributes on a memorial page on Facebook called 'R.I.P DONNA ... BALLOON AND LANTERN RELEASE'.

Some of those who couldn't make the event lit candles in their homes in memory of Miss Eastwood - many lighting four in memory of the young mum's four children.
