A woman in Beckenham claims Lidl lorries have damaged her front wall and forced her to scale a neighbour’s fence to get home.
Jill Holmes, 39, lives in Burnhill Road where the discount supermarket receives its food deliveries for its branch in the town.
She told News Shopper that articulated Lidl lorries frequent her road without care for residents.
The government employee explained: "They’ve damaged my front wall. I spoke to Lidl, to the manager, and he said, ‘if you don’t like it, move’."
"The trucks are really big and they block the road. There are at least two deliveries a day – coming up to Christmas there’ll probably be even more.
"Recently I couldn’t get into my house and had to climb over a neighbour’s wall"
"We never had any trouble with Safeway."
The budget brand has said it has taken action to ensure residents are not affected too badly.
Lidl said in a statement: "In September, we adjusted our transport schedule for this store so that deliveries were further restricted to the middle of the day to minimise any potential disruption to local residents.
"We have been in direct contact with one of the local residents in the past to allay any concerns she may have had regarding deliveries at the store."
