Residents who air their views on bold development plans for Biggin Hill Airport could win a £5,000 holiday.

An ongoing public consultation will finish on Friday October 24 and the airport is offering the prize as an incentive to gain as many opinions as possible.

Proposals include the likes of later opening times, a training college, and a new hotel.

The airport says the work will create 2,300 new jobs over the next 15 years, while cutting the noise footprint by 50 per cent.

Managing director Will Curtis says: ““We have had an excellent response from the local community.

“People are telling us that it is important to reduce noise and that the recommendations set out within our Noise Action Plan – such as keeping planes at a higher altitudes for longer – are to be welcomed.

“We have also had many good ideas for opening up the airport and making it more accessible to the community. We will be looking at all of these ideas over the next few months.”

Everyone in Biggin Hill is encouraged to visit www.bigginhillfuture.co.uk to have their say, where a pledge to the community can be viewed in full.
