St Christopher’s Hospice hosted its second annual Classic Car Show on Sunday (September 21).

Hundreds of families and car enthusiasts flocked to Tripes Farm in Orpington to see sports cars, luxury saloons and pre-war and post-war classics.

Over 400 vehicles were on display from manufacturers with the oldest being a 1926 Citroen 5 CV Lemon Drop.

Sixty different vehicle types packed the display field including 20 American cars, 15 classic motorbikes, a Green Goddess fire engine and vintage public buses.

Proud car owners travelled from all over the south east and Bromley Mayor Councillor Julian Benington also visited.

Visitors enjoyed refreshments including ice creams, a hog roast and a barbecue.

St Christopher’s Hospice community fundraiser Sarah Coughtrie said: “Without such well-supported events like these, we couldn’t raise the £12 million we need to find each year to provide our specialist palliative care and family care services free of charge to our local community.”
