The Family Mosaic Housing Association hosted a free community fair at the Southill Court estate in Bromley on Saturday (September 20).

The event aimed to rebuild community spirit between residents and organisations in the borough including the London Fire Brigade and the Bromley Safer Neighborhoods Team.

Visitors were treated to a free barbeque, drinks and a steel band.

Kids took advantage of the play area complete with bouncy castle, face painting, a magician and a balloonist.

The fire brigade provided safety advice and community nurses offered free health checks and 10-minute head and shoulder massages.

Sharon Hunter-Cobbina, the associations’ neighbourhood manager said she hoped the event showed residents that Family Mosaic was more than just a landlord.

“In recent years, Southill Court has faced some challenges to its community morale but I have been working hard to turn things around and make sure that residents are proud to live here," she said.

"We’ve got some exciting plans for a new communal garden at Southill, that will give all residents a chance to be involved in creating a place to enjoy and relax.

"The day was really successful and the residents really appreciated what we did."
