Trains were held up at Woolwich Dockyard station last night (September 21) after a man was found laying on the tracks.
British Transport Police were called to the station at 9pm.
A spokesman said: "Our officers attended with colleagues from the Met Police and London Ambulance Service.
"A 54-year-old man was helped from the tracks and taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition."
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said the man had suffered minor injuries.
He said: βHe was taken as a priority to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich.β
