Top 5 opinions on driverless cars (drivers and non-drivers):

  1. The computer could malfunction (46.2 per cent)
  2. They will be too expensive (45.8 per cent)
  3. They will cut down speeding (39.7 per cent)
  4. They will allow everyone to drive, including those with some disabilities (39.5 per cent)
  5. They will lack human error (37.1 per cent)

34 per cent of people say they would consider buying a self-driving car when they become available, 34 per cent also say they would not and 32 per cent do not know if they would invest in the technology.
