A billionaire from Hong Kong will bring a touch of the oriental to the Greenwich Peninsula regeneration project providing 10,000 homes to prospective residents.

Three storey illuminating cubes, curved glass rippled pavilions and radiating tubes to echo the magnetic forces of the earth’s poles are just a taste of what Knight Dragon have already begun to offer Greenwich.

With Knight Dragon owner Henry Cheng Kar-Shun investing £500 million into the high-profile 25-year development it’s no wonder eager commuters are already queuing for a slice of ‘London’s most exciting new district’.

The Lighterman tower, one of three major developments to be taken on by the company, will be arranged around a shared courtyard comprised of studio apartments as well as one, two and three bedroom homes.

Residents of the Lighterman will also have access to a landscaped terrace situated on the seventeenth floor which offers stunning views of Canary Wharf.

The Cable and Roper building aims to highlight the different personalities of the buildings with plans for the Cable tower being conceived as light, sheer and precisely detailed, whereas its counterpart – the Roper building, will be a strong, solid and rugged construction.

The Gateway Pavilions - consisting of transparent, sparkling curved glass emulating the geometry of the dome – will provide a location for pop-up markets and the artistic community.

The company aim to complete the first phase of the development next summer and apartments anticipated for completion in 2017 go on sale Saturday.
