85 per cent of professionals drink at least three cups of coffee a day.

Nearly 70 per cent admit their working ability would be affected without a daily mug of coffee.

Sinking more than four cups daily, stressed-out journalists are the highest consumers followed by police officers and teachers.

Daily recommended dose should not exceed 200mg of caffeine, equivalent to two mugs or four cups of coffee. 62 per cent of workers are not aware of the health risks from exceeding this.

Men drink slightly more coffee than women.
