Greenwich's new television show is on the hunt for people who ran a similar project in the 1970s.

The Greenwich Show is a new monthly programme broadcast on the first Monday of every month.

During the inaugural broadcast on September 1, presenter Robert Gray appealed for help in finding people who used to work at Greenwich Cablevision or who may have any photographs or footage.

Launched in 1972 and managed from a studio and offices in Plumstead, Greenwich Cablevision was the country’s very first local TV station.

Mr Gray said: "We'd love to hear from to anyone who was involved.

"We also want to emulate the opportunities that Cablevision gave to the people of the borough to be involved in television production. Many of the people involved back in the 70s went on to big things in the media industry."
