A 70-year-old man was taken to hospital after a crash between a motorcycle and a lorry in Lewisham this afternoon.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We were called just after 4.30pm to reports of a collision involving a lorry and a motorcyclist on Lewisham High Street.
“We sent one ambulance crew to the scene and they arrived within five minutes.
“The patient, a man aged 70, was conscious. He was treated at the scene, including being immobilised using a spinal board and neck collar, before being taken to Lewisham Hospital.”
Twitter user James St Patrick tweeted: "Someone just got lick down by an 18 wheeler truck in Lewisham right next to that pyramid roundabout."
Molesworth Street at the junction with Lewisham High Street was partially blocked and there was congestion to Loampit Vale.
