A 26-year-old Sydenham man has been charged with murder after a young father was stabbed to death.

Jordan Glasgow was arrested on Thursday night, two days after 24-year-old Adrian Young was killed in Thornton Heath, Croydon.

He was charged on Friday (August 29) evening.

Glasgow, from Silverdale, appeared at Camberwell Magistrates' Court on August 30 where he was remanded in custody for a bail hearing at the Old Bailey on September 2.

Mr Young was stabbed moments after bringing his baby boy home from nursery on August 26.

He was found on the edge of Whitehorse Road and Cromwell Road at around 4.45pm after reports of a fight.

He died in hospital roughly two hours later.
