News Shopper Editor Andy Parkes was this morning interviewed about his Thank Bank invention on BBC Radio London.
During the 10 minute interview on 94.9 he discussed where the idea came from and what it means putting something back into the community.
Andy introduced the popular Thank Bank on June 25 citing his concerns that with our ever-faster moving world a simple ‘thank you’ is too often forgotten.
Encouraging the public to consider the smallest acts of kindness or generosity he began devoting precious newspaper space to giving thanks – whether in the form of tributes, letters or other acts of recognition.
He said: “We all know that there are particular moments in life when a small show of generosity can mean the world.”
