Heavy rains and thunder storms last week left Erith shop-owners having to dry out their businesses.
At around 3pm on Thursday (August 14) down-pours caused severe flooding in Fraser Road and Alford Road.
The Londis store on Alford Road was badly affected with employees having to empty water from the shop floor.
A spokesman for the store said: "It started raining very heavily and then the flooding started.
"We had to empty the water from the shop ourselves.
"As soon as the rain stopped it started to go down."
London fire crews attended the scene.
More to follow.
