Over 100 people stood in line at Dartford's Bluewater shopping centre last night (August 7) to get their hands on Nike's latest releases.

The Bluewater Foot Locker store released the Nike Triple Black Huarache at midnight and limited sales to one per person.

News Shopper:

The launch saw 120 pairs of trainers sold and the store made £10,000 in just one hour.

The triple black collection includes the "ultimate must-have" shoe, the Nike Huarache with the collection also including the Roche Run, Jordan Flight and Adidas Hardcourt.

The release caused a stir on Twitter.

Dawn said: "Queuing for a pair of shoes? Ridiculously expensive trainers just to walk, not run, in? Crazy"

Luke Wren ‏added: "People actually do this!?"

Same queues in Lewisham this morning. Some people joined the queue because they thought there was going to be a massive closing down sale. They soon moved on when they realised it was for £100 trainers.

Its a funny old world. People queuing to spend a ridiculous amount of money on something they don't need to impress people they don't know.
