A Northfleet nursery school have been presented with an award, recognising their staff's skilful story-telling.

Northfleet Nursery School in London Road have been presented with a Centre of Excellence Award from MakeBelieve Arts for the use of 'helicopter story-telling.'

Louise Forbes from Make Believe Arts said: "Storytelling and story acting is a creative approach that supports learning across the early year’s curriculum, outlined by the government, and the evaluation is evidence of this.

"These awards are given to those select Early Years settings that are regularly using Storytelling and Story Acting and are able to share the benefits of the approach with neighbouring schools."
