Greenwich will get its very own TV show from next month, made by people who live in the borough.

The Greenwich Show launches on September 1 at 9.30pm and will appear at the same time on every first Monday of the month.

Running for half an hour, it will profile Greenwich's people, history, tourist attractions and include features on neighbourhood businesses through the eyes of residents and visitors.

The debut episode features a car club who meet monthly in Greenwich Market and a look ahead to September's Tall Ships festival.

presenter and Greenwich B&B owner Robert Gray said: "To think that this started two years ago from my kitchen table when I began to make short films about Greenwich, and now we’re broadcasting to a national and international audience – it’s incredible.

"We can’t wait to work with aspiring local talent to make this programme a huge success in what is London’s best borough."
