An intrepid young fundraiser from West Kingsdown has raised more than £2,200 for charity by canoeing almost the length of the Thames with his dad.
Seven-year-old Ollie Chamberlain joined dad Danny, 46, in paddling 165 miles along the river from Cricklade in north Wiltshire to central London.
The week-long odyssey involved 10 hour days in the 100-year-old Canadian canoe with Ollie setting off on July 23 and finishing on July 30.
Through this challenge the West Kingsdown Primary School pupil has so far raised more than £2,200 for EllenorLions hospice.
Last year father and son cycled 650 miles from Holmfen to Ben Nevis on a tandem bike to raise more than £4,000 for the hospice.
Mum Sasha Pitman, 37, said: "I could not be prouder of them and it’s just amazing to see what they can do.
"I don’t think I could paddle six miles let alone 165.
"We have lost grandparents and neighbours to cancer and we have seen how much the hospice help people who need it."
