A 75-year-old from Gravesend has cycled almost 15 miles to raise funds for a children's charity.

Cyclists of all ages and abilities from across Kent took part in the sponsored bike ride at Brands Hatch Race Circuit on July 4 in aid of Action for Children.

The eldest participant, Mike Foxwell, aged 75, completed 12 laps of the 1.2 mile course in two hours Participants had to complete as many 1.2-mile laps of the circuits within two hours. 30 was the most laps that were completed on the evening by Chris Angell from Greenwich completed the most laps in the set time period - cycling around the course 30 times.

Selena Goldsmith, partnership fundraiser for Kent at Action for Children, said: "The Brands Hatch Bike Ride was a great family evening out, and I would like to thank everyone who took part. The funds raised will make a life-changing difference to vulnerable children, young people and their families."
