Film crews were in Brockley this week as the area prepares to star in another blockbuster.

Actors and crew were at The Rivoli ballroom for the Working Title-produced movie about the Kray twins, called Legend.

Tom Hardy, previously known for playing Bane in The Dark Knight Rises and notorious inmate Charles Bronson in Bronson, will play both of the notorious gangsters in Brian Helgeland biopic.

The cast also features Aussie actress Emily Browning, David Thewlis and Dr Who Christopher Eccleston.

Twitter users struggled to contain their excitement at the prospect of seeing Tom Hardy.

Legend is not the first movie to film in Brockley this year.

In February, the Muppets stopped by and the TV series Dr Who was filmed at the Rivoli.

In April, the stars and crew of The Avengers 2 filmed in the area, with Captain America Chris Evans spotted crossing the road and director Joss Whedon snapped by Instagram user jon_choo
