The post-mortem examination into Tommy Main's death has been found to be inconclusive, police say.

The young father, 23, died last Saturday night at a party being held in The Nursery, Erith.

The former Erith School pupil suffered a cardiac arrest and while emergency services tried to save him he sadly died at Darent Valley Hospital.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Whilst the post=mortem was inconclusive, there is a thorough police investigation by officers from the homicide and major ccrime command.

"We will continue to keep the family informed of developments as the investigation progresses."

Mr Main's brothers have denied the partygoer's death is linked to new online craze 'Punch4Punch'.

One of the brothers told ITV News: "He was not playing any game and the false reporting of what happened is making the situation more painful for the family."

Mr Main's friends have rallied round the family to support his young daughter Aimee and start fundraising for her.

They will be holding a memorial event on Sunday and letting off balloons in Mr Main's memory and a charity football match is also being organised.

A Facebook group set up in Mr Main's memory has already attracted more than 2,500 'likes'.
