Kent brewer Shepherd Neame has again teamed up with comedy duo Armstrong and Miller as they bring back their famous street-talking RAF pilot characters.

It’s toodle-pip to cor blimey as modern slang becomes totes amazballs LOL!

The comedians visited the Horse and Groom in Belgravia – the UK’s poshest pub, in the shadow of Buckingham Palace – which has gone ‘street’ for a month with signs and chalkboards translated to modern slang, emphasising how Spitfire beer marries traditions and modernity.

If you haven’t got a Scooby what Armstrong and Miller are on a bout, then British author and lexiocgrapher Tony Thorne’s guide at spitfireale.co.uk will help you.

Crutterz – in poor condition
Blonks – big person, usually male
Bennin’ – overcome by laughter
Raggo/ragoflex – improvised, hasty and/or flamboyant, provocative
