A man claims to have photographed a twister above Orpington.

Colin Childs says he snapped the mini-tornado on Friday (June 28) evening.

The 59-year-old, from Sevenoaks, said: "It was Friday at around 9pm.

"I was by Orpington station and looked up the hill, up Crofton Road, and there it was.

"I thought straight away it was a twister, but I'm not sure that's possible - maybe it was just a strange cloud formation.

"Whatever it was I've never really seen anything like it."

Chances are it was taken on a phone with 5 megapixels or more.

NS publishes it at 0.1 Megapixels, meaning, even if it was a twister, the item of interest is 0.001 Megapixels (about 1000 px).

Really NS? We are in 2014, people have 10Mbs+ download speeds on their phones, let alone their home broadband, we are not in 1997 on dialup.

Use bigger photos!

There's no such thing as a mini-tornado. It's either a tornado, or it's not.
