A generous seven-year-old girl from Sidcup has cut off her beloved long blonde hair to be made into wigs for poorly children.

Lennie Whitlock of Berwick Crescent visited Salon 193 in Days Lane to have her hair cut into a bob on June 12 - her long locks will be donated to the Little Princess Trust who provide free real-hair wigs for sick children.

The kind-hearted youngster also rallied around family and friends for sponsorship for the chop and has, so-far, raised £1,077 for the charity.

Lennie's mum, Kerrie Whitlock, aged 30, said: "I'm sad that she will no longer have her long blonde hair but at the end of the day its just hair and many children don't get a choice or say in losing their hair.

"I'm so incredibly proud of her I can't even put in words - she's done it all herself.

"Lennie is so pleased with her hair and by how much she's raised.
