Greenwich pair jailed after £230,000 drug raid in Eltham
Two Greenwich men have been jailed after a police raid uncovered a haul of drugs with a street value of more than £230,000.
More than four kilograms of cocaine and cannabis were found when officers from the Met's Trident gang command targeted a flat in Pullman Place, Eltham, on May 21.
Lorri Jeffery, 30, of Pullman Place, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on June 6 to seven years in prison after admitting possession with intent to supply drugs.
Luke Roffey, 30, of Plum Lane, Plumstead, was sentenced on the same day at the same court to two years in prison after admitting the same.
Officers found more than a kilogram of cocaine, with a street value of more than £200,000, at the flat and arrested Jeffery at the scene.
While searching the flat, Jeffery received a text stating ‘I am outside’ and officers found Roffey ringing the buzzer.
Police chased and caught him as he threw a large bin liner over a fence - stuffed with three kilograms of cannabis, with a value of around £30,000.
A number of Rolex watches and a wad of cash were also recovered from Roffey’s home in Plum Lane which was searched later.
Det Con Harvey Brooks, of Trident, said: "This investigation shows that we will seek anyone actively involved in the drugs trade and use all the powers available to us to combat it.
“If you deal in drugs we will arrest you and put you in front of the courts to face the consequences of your actions.”
