A Dartford man was allegedly punched in the face and forced out of his car during a robbery earlier this month.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 12.20am on May 18 when a 20-year-old man was driving a blue Vauxhall Astra.

He had stopped at the traffic lights at the junction between Lowfield Street and Princess Road, Dartford, when his car door was opened.

He was reportedly punched in the face and told to get out of the car.

The victim jumped out and the alleged robber drove off in the car, which was discovered burnt out in Belvedere later the same day.

The offender is described as being a white man, around 5ft 10in and aged between 20 and 30-years-old. He had short, scruffy hair and a mole or a birthmark on his cheek under his left eye. He wore a grey top and blue jeans.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Christopher Mason of Kent Police said: “I'm keen to hear from anyone who has heard about this incident or anyone who might have been on the same road at the same time and noticed a disturbance.
