Thought-provoking documentary makers will be in Greenwich for discussions.
As part of the Friends of the Earth-sponsored UK Green Film Festival, two of the year’s best movies with an environmental message will get screenings at Greenwich Picturehouse, as well as post-screening discussions.
Bay of All Saints, the winner of SXSW festival’s Audience Award for Documentary, will be screened on Tuesday, June 2, at 7.30pm.
It is about the generations of families who are threatened with homelessness in Brazil when the government threatens to destroy their shacks in the name of ecological restoration.
Award winning investigative reporter, author and documentary maker Andrew Jennings, who is best known for his work investigation corruption in the IOC and FIFA, will join for a post-screening Q and A session.
Lost Rivers
Director Caroline Bacle will join representatives from the Museum of London and author and researcher Tom Bolton for a Q and A and panel discussion after the screening of her film Lost Rivers at 7pm on Friday, June 6.
