A man is still in a life-threatening condition after "jumping" in front of a Catford truck last week.
Police, who had earlier appealed for help in identifying the victim, now know who he is but are still appealing for more witnesses to come forward.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Stanstead Road and Blythe Vale at around 11.15am last Friday (May 23) where the man had been hit by a truck carrying slabs of concrete.
Witnesses claimed the man had been standing at the Stanstead Road bus stop and then thrown himself in front of the oncoming vehicle.
The victim, who is believed to be in his late 40s, was taken to a south London hospital where he currently remains in a life-threatening condition.
Police say the lorry driver stopped at the scene and there have been no arrests.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision.
