This fascinating short video called Britain's Little Election Week shows how Bromley residents went to the polls 67 years ago.
Part of the superb British Pathe archive, this footage was filmed in 1947 as local council elections took place.
It shows eelections posters on display as well as people going into their polling station to vote.

The story of Alexander Pitcairn, brother of the sailor who gave his name to the South Sea island where the mutineers lived after their infamous uprising on HMS Bounty, is causing a flutter in the village of Eynsford following the discovery of his coffin in a small mausoleum under the floor of St Martin’s Church.
