Disabled Greenwich youngsters are enjoying playing tennis after a project gained a £750 boost.
Players, including from Charlton Park Academy and Shooters Hill Post 16 College, have picked up their racquets to join the tennis project run by South London Special League (SLSL).
The scheme, offering a gateway into the sport to disabled young people over 14 years old, gained a £750 grant from the Jack Petchey Foundation.
SLSL project manager Sharon Brokenshire said: "There is little provision in our community to offer opportunities to play tennis to disabled and disadvantaged young people.
"At SLSL we celebrate success, be it a high level of performance, or young people achieving beyond expectations.
"We also celebrate positive attitudes that may be reflected in winning, or through fair play and respect."
Next month a handful of players will be selected to perform in the London Youth Games.
