A fire crew were forced to use hydraulic cutting equipment to free three people who were trapped in a lift for three hours.

The drama started at 7.30pm on Tuesday after the lift broke in a tower block in Wallis Park, Northfleet.

One fire crew from Thames-side was called to the scene and worked with a lift engineer while he tried to free the trapped people.

After unsuccessful attempts to free the people the lift engineer asked the fire crew to use their cutting equipment to free the people.

Do you know who was trapped or have pictures of the fire crew at work?
