A great-great-great grandmother has celebrated her 100th birthday in Erith.
May Veness marked the milestone on May 15 with a sing-along, balloons, a card from the Queen and a mouth-watering cake.
Family and staff at Shaftesbury Court Care Home in Selkirk Drive, Erith, all joined in with the celebrations.
Daughter Annie Wing, who used to work at News Shopper, said: "It was a really good day and the staff at the home were great.
"She has lived in the countryside for a lot of her life and was very active until around three years ago.
"She had nine children and now she even has great-great-great grandchildren."
