The Royal Navy's flagship vessel HMS Bulwark passed through Gravesend Reach today on its way to Greenwich.
HMS Bulwark was accompanied by the Met Police on its way down the river to be moored off Greenwich Pier - where free tours will be available this week.
Visitors will be able to take a tour on May 31 and June 1 when the vessel docks at Greenwich Pier.
Tours of the ship, which can carry more than 400 troops, complete with vehicles and combat supplies, will last for 90 minutes and are strictly for ticket-holders only.
Lewisham and Greenwich residents can get in early, by providing proof they live in the SE8, SE10 and SE13 postcodes along with their ticket.
And along with the ship visit, there will be opportunities to witness the capabilities of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines ashore in the Old Royal Naval College grounds.
