Old school ties will be remade as friends prepare to reunite for a school’s 60th anniversary next week.

Ex-pupils of Cray Valley Technical High School will gather at what is now Kemnal Technology College in Sevenoaks Way, Sidcup, on Wednesday, May 28.

This year is the school’s 60th and former students will gather in the main hall from 10.30am for speeches, a meal, music and a catch up.

Adrian Appley, who was a pupil from 1955 to 1959, said: “I have found an old school hat and I managed to locate a tie. I’m going to be in full school uniform. Two of the teachers are going to be there.

“I’m going to take a cane and when – not if – I misbehave I will be given the cane.

“It is going to be a fun day.”
