Bexleyheath hair salon Club 21 Hair has been named as finalists in the prestigious London Business Awards.
The Pickford Lane salon are finalists in the Best Business for Training and Development and in the Best Business for Apprenticeships categories.
Salon owner Jenner Dickinson said: "This is a fantastic achievement for the salon.
"We are very proud of our training scheme and have been training young people to a very high standard for many years."
Joint owner Graham Hinton added: "We were also highly commended in two categories at the Bexley Business Awards which is the first time we have been in this type of competition.
"We knew the London awards would be a bit tougher because it covers all businesses all over London, so we thought it would be an impossible task in this type of competition.
"For a small independent salon in Bexleyheath to reach the final ten in two categories is a bit like Welling United winning the FA Cup.
"I am really proud of our team for achieving this."
The winners will be announced at the Gala Awards in London on June 6.
