The search is on for more foster carers for Bromley children and young people.

The council’s fostering team is looking for caring people who have a real interest in children to provide loving homes for young people who desperately need them.

Potential carers just need to be over 21 and have a spare room.

In exchange Bromley’s foster carers are rewarded with good payment of more than £500 a week in some cases, training and support from an expert team, as well as the knowledge that they are doing something really important for local young people who need their support and help.

Anyone interested in applying should visit www.bromley.gov.uk/fostering or call 0300 303 8672 for more information.

Bromley’s head of fostering Susan Noonan said: “Our foster carers come from all walks of life and do a very rewarding job. We are confident that there are many more people who have the skills to make a big difference to the life of a child or young person.

"We are calling for people to come forward and find out how to get involved in this very rewarding career. We look forward to welcoming some new faces to our team very soon.”
