Workers from Marks and Spencers in Bexleyheath took park in a community clean up at the River Cray.

Six ladies from the Broadway store joined forces with Marine Conservation Society (MCS) to help clean up the river bank in Crayford.

The team collected many items including mattresses, doors, shopping trolleys and cans/plastic all of which are detrimental to environment.

A spokesman for Marks and Spencers said: "M&S Bexleyheath has pledged for this year that they will spend a minimum of 12 days working in the community of which the waterway clean-up is one.

"Staff at the shop are very passionate about helping and supporting the local community and charities."
