A woman who had to be cut out of her car following an Abbey Wood smash was not seriously injured, police say.

The smash between two cars beside a BP garage happened at around 10.45am on May 10 at Harrow Manor Way.

Police, ambulances and fire crews arrived at the incident. Firefighters had to cut away the roof of a car to release a trapped woman from her vehicle.

They were then taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.

A spokesman for the Met Police said the woman's injuries did not appear to be serious.

The Police seriously have to start acting on the number of illegal drivers and general terrible driving standards around there. There's no way drivers who cannot even drive straight and within lines without weaving all over can be legal. Such simple things are not done. Drivers speed up and brake for no reason. navigating a roundabout is difficult for them making me question how legal they are as drivers.

They are either illegal drivers or god knows what they are doing - on a phone? Whatever it is the standards are the worst of anywhere I've seen in this country, and I drive ALL over the UK often. Front and rear lights are often out, sometimes people drive in the evening without lights, people cut corners in an extreme way endangering other cars and pedestrians. Three point turns in crazy places and often without warning. It's incredibly bad.

The police do checks sometimes but only stop someone without insurance. If someone is driving someone else's car who has insurance they wont get stopped.

Oh yeah it's not just there but more widely over SE London. The standards are noticeably worse when you arrive there from other parts of the country.
