Describe where you live in five words or less for your chance to win our latest competition.
Our new 5 Words contest is setting you the task of writing the most straight-to-the-point description you can think of for where you reside.
If you were talking to someone who had never before visited the town or village you call home what are the first few words you would use to give them an idea of what it is like?
To enter, and possibly win yourself a £50 cash prize, click here
Entry is free but we do ask for you to like our Facebook page first if you haven’t done so previously.
You’ll then see instructions for how to take part, along with the rules.
You can use a selection of adjectives and nouns or put together a complete (albeit very short) sentence.
As soon as entries are submitted anyone can vote for which ones they like the best, but voting will be ‘just for fun’ because at the end of the contest News Shopper will select the lucky winner based on the entry we think is the most interesting, amusing, touching – or just plain apt based on the place being described.
Entries can be submitted between now and 11.59pm on June 1. We will then pick the winner, who will be announced a few days later.
Let’s see how creative and descriptive you can be with just five words!
