You’ve arrived in Bellingham and you’ve got an hour to burn, what do you do?
In a new regular feature, News Shopper's heading around south east London to find the essential 'must do' and 'must sees' in a snapshot of each area.

Get down in the dumps
Youngsters won’t be bored at Dumps Adventure Playground in Oakview Road. It’s a wonderland of playframes, zip wires, playing fields and animals which has been treasured in the community for 40 years.
Pretty fab prefabs
There aren’t many of these diddy prefabs left in the world now and homes on the Excalibur estate have been turned into a pop-up exhibition with memorabilia, photos and filmed interviews. The houses were originally built by German PoWs in 1945 and now six of the 187 are Grade II listed.
The exhibition, at 17 Meliot Road, is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4.30pm and Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.For more details, visit the Palaces for the People Facebook page.
Stock up on Turkish food
Opposite the bus station, Turkish supermarket TFC has a mindblowing array of great foods you can’t find in Asda. Plus, you get that that fun feeling like you’re on holiday while you’re in there. It’s cheap too. Don’t fancy cooking? Pop into Turkuaz Restaurant next door.
Honour our ‘Enery
Boxing legend Sir Henry Cooper grew up in Bellingham. Visit his plaque Farmstead Road.
Work Out
It’s a very short walk from the station to the Bellingham Leisure and Lifestyle Centre, which is probably as well because it’s a giant place with plenty of activities to burn your energy. As well as a gym, there’s an exercise studio and an incredible soft play area which will make you wish you were a kid again. Go to fusion-lifestyle.com
Next week, we're looking at Falconwood. Send your tips to jim.palmer@london.newsquest.co.uk
