A fire at a Blackheath restaurant caused problems on surrounding roads this afternoon.

Two engines tackled the small blaze at the Cote brasserie in Royal parade, near the junction with Tranquil Vale.

They were called out at around 1pm and the fire was out around 20 minutes later.

Part of the one-way system was closed and bus routes 54, 89, 108, 202 and 380 were placed on diversion.
