Sidcup firefighters rush to stop allotment fire igniting propane cyclinder

Firefighters were this morning called to a shed fire in a Footscray allotment.

A crew from Sidcup fire station rushed to the scene at 6.04am and extinguished the flames before they reached a 25kg propane cyclinder.

The cylinder was removed and cooled with no injuries reported.

The shed at the allotment in Leafield Lane was completely destroyed.
